In less than one month, "c'est la quille !!!"
Arthur is back from Singapore and I'm back from France. After a three weeks break, discussions start again: so, where do we buy the bikes? Which suitcase do we bring for the first step, in Maryland - US? Where do you think we will eat the best meat? When do we meet the medical centre to check our medical pack? How will we manage to finish all the wine we still have at home ?? Naaaa, that's a joke, we manage quite well... But yeah you're welcome to help ;-)
Crucial issues as you can see. Since, in fact, almost everything is settled now.
Last preparations
Mmmmmhhh..... |
We spend more time scanning important administrative papers (ok, that's me), selling and giving our stuffs (girls, I have quite some shoes to give!! Size: 37 - I'll put some pictures on the Duntchies on sale page), gather in the same place the material we will take with us, watching Stargate while eating iberico ham.
In the mean time, I went through different websites and blogs of travellers who, like us, decided to travel by bike. Thanks to friends of friends of friends, I retrieved many interesting information and sometimes, fascinating stories !
I have to share some of them, like the story of Heinz Stücke, who travelled by bike 50 years long! And what about Daisuke Nakanishi, who travels since 11 years to "experience the world"! Of course, I found or have been linked with dozens of blogs and websites from people cycling the world. A huge chance then, for Arthur and myself, to meet cyclists like us in South America, with whom we will share a part of our path.
So close but still so many days before departure !!!!!!
Did someone ever said we were impatient??
